I would consider myself to be fairly new to this whole #bookstagram game, and I still have a lot to learn. Let me sum up how my day is going. Tea - check. All the little bones on my e-reader - check. A little bit of extra bling because, you know, circuses - check. Mail from the author herself with some temporary tattoos - check! (A big thank you to the wonderful @elliemarney!) . I’m only about a chapter in to this book so far. Life keeps getting in the way of my reading - rude, right?! All The Little Bones throws you straight into the action, and from what I’m reading so far, I really enjoy it. I think I read that the second book in the Circus Hearts series is coming out at the end of this month, so I’m putting on my reading hat and stealing any moment I can to get some reading done. I’m also aware that my goal of reading 50 books this year is not as close to completed as I would like it to be, and the end of the year is creeping closer. Who is Amelia Westlake??? . When Harriet meets Will, she’s intrigued. It’s easy to dismiss her as the troublemaker, the rebel without a cause, while Harriet prefers to keep her nose out of trouble. After all, she has the perfect school record, the perfect girlfriend, and from the outside, the perfect life. Why would she need to get mixed up with Will? Nevertheless, when the two collide by a desire to see change happen within the privileged walls of their private school, Harriet find herself changing in ways she didn’t think possible. . This book surprised me. It was fresh, and held enough suspense to keep me glued to the page, telling myself the lie addicted bookworms always tell themselves... ‘oh, I’ll just read one more chapter.’ I think this book was one of the instances where swapping between narrators worked well, as the story is told from both Will and Harriet’s point of view. One tip I will give you before you read this book is to make sure you read the acknowledgments at the back of the book. You might find out who Amelia Westlake is beyond the pages... . Layla and Milo meet after 5 years apart, when Layla returns to her childhood hometown. Steeped in memories, this novel focuses on the in-between time after high school, and what to do when plans don’t go quite as you’d hoped. It’s a bittersweet read, and while I think The Intern is still my favourite book by Gabrielle Tozer, Remind Me How This Ends is a beautiful book that’s very worthy of a space on your bookshelf.
